Starting Fall of 2023

The "Truffula Club" is an initiative dedicated to promoting environmental consciousness and fostering hands-on learning within the community. It provides a unique opportunity to explore diverse tree species, their ecological significance, and the technical skills required for planting and nurturing them. Participants will devise an outreach strategy to encourage community members to plant trees in their front yards, strategically targeting areas with fewer existing trees. Students will organize a tree planting day in collaboration with Openlands, a BPNC partnered organization focused on educating individuals about environmental efforts and tree planting. Openlands will generously provide free trees to be planted in front of community members' homes.
