    Leadership Development

    Youth Organizing

    BPNC believes in empowering youth to be leaders and organizers within their schools and their communities. BPNC engages youth in issue campaigns at the school, city, state and national level. BPNC's Youth Action Council has members from 6 High Schools on the Southwest side and works to realize their vision for education and racial justice.

    Middle School Youth LeadeS

    Each year, BPNC’s Middle School Youth Leadership Councils organize a Youth Summit in May, convening 400 students for a day of workshops focused on social justice and violence prevention.

    Summer Organizing FEllowship

    BPNC engages youth leaders in a 6-7 week summer program where youth get in depth political education and organizing skill trainings, preparing them to organize at their schools in the fall and take leadership roles in BPNC's Campaigns.

    We engage hundreds of parents at neighborhood schools in political education and leadership development trainings throughout the school year and support parent leadership teams at each school.

    Promotoras de Salud

    launch Mental Health Campaign

    After Collecting hundreds of surveys from community members documenting the need for mental health services on the Southwest side of Chicago, BPNC and the Collaborative for Community Wellness launched a campaign to demand renewed investment in mental health clinics in Chicago.
