Leadership Development

Youth Organizing

BPNC believes in empowering youth to be leaders and organizers within their schools and their communities. BPNC engages youth in issue campaigns at the school, city, state and national level. BPNC's Youth Action Council has members from 6 High Schools on the Southwest side and works to realize their vision for education and racial justice.

Middle School Youth LeadeS

Each year, BPNC’s Middle School Youth Leadership Councils organize a Youth Summit in May, convening 400 students for a day of workshops focused on social justice and violence prevention.

Summer Organizing FEllowship

BPNC engages youth leaders in a 6-7 week summer program where youth get in depth political education and organizing skill trainings, preparing them to organize at their schools in the fall and take leadership roles in BPNC's Campaigns.

Parent Organizing

We engage hundreds of parents at neighborhood schools in political education and leadership development trainings throughout the school year and support parent leadership teams at each school.
