Summer days are here!

Our Community Schools Department worked diligently to create and continue to provide programming to Brighton Park students and their families over the summer.

In five weeks, over 950 students and 300 adults engaged in a form of summer activity!

The Learning Never Stops!

Parents learned how to sew, took a fitness class through Zumba, arts and crafts, and other health workshops led by Promotoras de Salud.

Incoming first graders through twelfth grade were able to participate in a mixture of academic classes from reading, math, and STEAM to extracurriculars like painting, music, and more! High school partners, Curie High School and Kelly College Prep, were able to offer Freshmen and Sophomore connection for incoming students to explore the schools and interact with their new teachers in person and virtually.

Music to my ears! Youth at Brighton Park Elementary kept the music playing by learning the guitar, drums, and other instruments.

Shields Elementary Resource Coordinator Mayra Tellez is always bringing the fun with themed days.

Students at Nathan S. Davis brought out their art skills by creating banners together.
