Scholarships

BPNC strives to find scholarships to as many Southwest side youth as possible. Most of these scholarships come from other organizations, so please reach out to them with questions.

Scholarships for Latino Students

The Chicago Latino Caucus Foundation is accepting completed applications. Each year the Foundation offers 22 scholarships of $5,000 to Latino college students. U.S Citizenship is not required.

The Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement is pleased to be the administrator of the Dr. Vinny "Ervin" Caraballo scholarship. We aim to invest in the Latinx community by awarding scholarships to college students with a drive and passion to further their education and have a passion for community involvement. Supporting education is a crucial part of the HACE mission in helping Latinos succeed in every phase of their careers.

View United States Hispanic Leadership Institute (USHLI) scholarship directory for Latino students. USHLI is an award-winning Chicago-based national, non-profit, non-partisan, tax-exempt organization. The four pillars of its work are education, servant leadership development, civic engagement, and research.

Scholarships for Undocumented Youth

The Dreamers and Allies Run Scholarship provides individual awards of up to $1,500 to undocumented students from the neighborhood or undocumented students who provide service to the neighborhood.

Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR) is dedicated to promoting the rights of immigrants and refugees to full and equal participation in the civic, cultural, social, and political life of our diverse society.

MALDEF strives to implement programs that are structured to bring Latinos into the mainstream of American political and socio-economic life; providing better educational opportunities; encouraging participation in all aspects of society; and offering a positive vision for the future.

Scholarship alerts are intended to encourage and inform Chicago Public School students, staff and families of upcoming scholarship and program opportunities. This posting DOES NOT include all scholarships due between 2017-2018. To ensure students have access to the most up to date scholarship opportunities, please ensure you have activated a CPS Academic Works account to apply directly to scholarships and programs.
