2017 Public Meeting

We are hosting our public meeting to demand violence prevention funding, real sanctuary in Chicago, and schools our community deserves.

Tuesday, July 25th at 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Shields Middle School 2611 W 48th St., Chicago, IL 60632

Brighton Park residents are tired of Mayor Emanuel’s lack of leadership. While areas like the Loop are thriving, neighborhoods like Brighton Park are in despair. A 300% increase in violence in the last three years has devastated Brighton Park.

Community residents lack access to crucial social services. The City claims to be a 'sanctuary' city yet Brighton Park residents continue to live in fear of deportation. All the while the City and State withhold necessary funds for public schools. Youth and parent leaders will share their testimonies with an audience of over 400 residents. BPNC demands the City and State allocate $1 billion dollars to CPS to truly make a positive change in our neighborhood.

Our communities deserve more.  Are you ready to demand more from Mayor Rahm Emanuel, aldermen, and state legislators? Attend our public meeting Tuesday, July 25th.
