In 2016, BPNC held its 7th annual Youth Summit at the UIC campus. Over 400 students from 8 schools participated in workshops on social justice and violence prevention topics. BPNC partners with our neighborhood schools leading a Youth Leadership Club for middle schoolers. 450 middle school students attend the youth summit where they attend workshops on bullying prevention, gang violence prevention, domestic violence prevention, etc. The youth decide what topics will be covered at the annual youth summit each summer.
