The Youth Leadership Council is a group of youth leaders from neighborhood Schools in Brighton Park

and surrounding neighborhoods who are in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. Youth leaders are trained on violence

prevention, educational justice, immigrant rights and organizing. They meet weekly to help organize

our Annual BPNC Youth Summit and to make a change in their community through awareness and

Intervention.

Currently we have Youth Leadership Councils at Brighton Park Elementary School, Burroughs Elementary

School, Davis Elementary School, Evergreen Academy Middle School, Gunsaulus Scholastic Academy,

and Shields Middle School.
