You're Invited!
Brighton Park Neighborhood Council (BPNC) and Mikey O Comedy Show present our 5th Annual Comedy Cantina on Friday, May 12, 2017. The event will take place at IUOE Local 399, 2260 South Grove Street, Chicago, IL.
Direct from Los Angeles, this year’s headliner is Joey Medina from Latin Kings of Comedy. Other featured guest include Gwen La Roka from Laugh Factory and Ana Belaval from WGN’s Around Town. Chicago’s own Guapachosos will bring their unique “urban cumbia” sound to liven up the dance floor. DJ Bass Boy and DJ Vergil will keep people dancing all night.
Comedy Cantina raffles include tickets to Cubs game, White Sox games, Chicago Bulls fan basket, Adler Planetarium tickets, and much more!
BPNC expects over 800 attendees this year. BPNC’s Comedy Show is a fundraising effort focused on raising funds to support the agency’s comprehensive youth services that include:
- youth employment
- afterschool academic tutoring
- college and career planning
- violence prevention programming
- drama and music
- health and wellness
- Science Technology Engineering Math (STEM) programs
- 8th – 9th grade transition
- other enriching supports for students
All of BPNC’s services are free and aim to develop students’ academic and personal aspirations. We look forward to our continued collaboration and hope we can count on your support of our youth in Brighton Park.
BPNC's Full Service Community Schools Initiative (FSCI) collaborates with six neighborhood public schools in Chicago's Southwest side.
Big thanks to our 2017 sponsors and community partners!
